Wayne County Preschool Enrollment
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are pleased to announce that the Wayne County Board of Education Universal Pre-K Program is now accepting applications for the 2025-26 school year. To be eligible for preschool, children must be 4 years of age prior to July 1, 2025. Please click HERE to register your child for preschool.
In addition to submitting the application, the following documents are required for enrollment and should be submitted at a later date:
Certificate of Live Birth: This certificate is used to verify that your child meets the age requirement for the preschool program. It must be issued by the state in which your child was born. You can order it from the Office of Vital Statistics. We cannot accept county birth certificates. If you have any questions about your child's birth certificate, please contact me using the information provided below.
Social Security Card
Immunization Record: This must be on file prior to the first day of school.
Recent Well Child Visit: The visit should have occurred between August 2024 and August 2025. This exam must be completed by a physician. Health check forms can be used as proof of the well visit.
Recent Dental Visit: Documentation that your child has received a dental exam between August 2024 and August 2025. This exam must be completed by a dentist.

Additional letters will be mailed home later to inform you of preschool registration dates, acceptance letters with classroom assignments, and preschool orientation sessions. Acceptance letters will be mailed home by the end of July 2025.
