In spring 2024, our students in Grades 3-8 took the West Virginia General Summative Assessment (WVGSA), which measures academic progress for students and schools in West Virginia. Students took English language arts (ELA) reading, ELA writing, and mathematics sections of the test, with students in Grades 5 and 8 also taking science.
You may access your student’s individual assessment results for the WVGSA on the Family Portal. It will include detailed information about student performance in math, English language arts, and science, as well as access to Lexile and Quantile measures and the Lexile/Quantile Growth Plan. You can access the family portal by entering:
into a browser. This link can also be found under the Families and Students Menu.
Once on the webpage, you will need to enter your student’s unique access code, date of birth and legal first name before clicking “Sign In.” Unique access codes are being sent home in letters to parents/guardians. If you have questions, please reach out to your child’s school.
